
Nursing is the process of using knowledge and health restoration, health promotion, disease (illness) prevention, and management of chronic disease to assist individuals and families in successfully adapting and living in a state of high-level wellness. Nurses have a responsibility to be knowledgeable about theories, principles and applications of biological and social sciences.
The Associate Degree in Nursing curriculum prepares individuals to assume the responsibility for providing healthcare to clients with acute and chronic illnesses. The program consists of courses, labs and clinical experiences that must be taken in sequence, according to the curriculum plan. Material learned in the classroom is practiced in the laboratory and applied to the care of patients in the clinical setting. Pharmacology, growth and development, nutrition, community health, and nursing principles and skills are integrated into all nursing courses.
The graduate of the Associate Degree in Nursing program receives an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Nursing and will be eligible to sit for the National Council Licensing Examination (NCLEX©) to become a Registered Nurse (RN) in Ohio.

Bohecker College offers the RETS College of Nursing Associate Degree in Nursing program which is approved by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
